We were pleased to receive the UberKinky Bondage Tape in return for an honest and detailed review.

Measuring 18.2 m, this PVC bondage tape is long, sleek and only sticks to itself! Available in Black or Red, the tape has a sexy PVC shine along its extremely long, strong and adaptable length. The tape can be used in custom bondage sessions or for fetish-wear and is great for beginners and experienced users alike.

The tape was sent to us discreetly packaged from Uberkinky. The rolls of tape are incredibly convenient and could be stored discreetly in any drawer, cupboard or box! They’re excellent value at only £3.99 each or £3.49 each for 2.

Bondage and PVC aren’t exactly everyday activities for us, so we did have these interesting rolls in storage for a little while. The packaging we found to be appropriate, with just hygiene wrap over the tape and the Uberkinky logo to one side.

I unwrapped the black bondage tape to have a good look. Although we’ve experienced our fair share of bondage products, I wasn’t sure what to expect from bondage tape. This stuff really reminded me of costumes worn by glamor models, before entering the world of bondage myself! Now with a bit more understanding, I kind of get this product but not sure if it’s something we’d use consistently! Mr A thought it was a good shout so I’ll give it a go…

My first encounter wasn’t amazing. I began to unroll and it was a stuck at the edges so much it tore! Not a great first impression, although It does withstand a decent pull. Mr A then got hold of the tape and wrapped it around my arms very easily… OK maybe I do get it. It smells strongly of plastic actually in quite an erotic sense, and whether you’re into PVC or not maybe you’ll enjoy the smell like I did.

Playing around with the tape, I really got a sense of what it could be used for. Practically any bondage-play. Around the wrists, ankles, around the whole body, tied to a bed, to a chair. Anything. The tape comes off the roll neatly and adapts to where ever you choose, sticking to only itself, which means no waxing moments afterwards and a soft but firm hold against the skin. And it is really comfortable against the skin too, it does have a lot of give but be careful not to tie too tightly – you don’t want to get yourself into a tangle and cut off vital circulation!

As Mr A demonstrated, it can be wrapped at a length and then cut with the teeth really easily. The lengths are really only single-use, though, as when you take off the tape it sticks to itself along the entire length. I mean, its quite therapeutic to try to un-stick it. So you could use it again, or indeed use it just as a rope for a second time rather than a tape. But I’d say it’s designed for single-use.

So for kinky play this really is a useful product. It is good value, even for single-use, as you get plenty of length to play with. Perhaps an essential for those who love a bit of kinky sex.

I’ve always seen lots of place stocking Bondage tape, but never really understood how to use it and it’s purpose. When we received two rolls of it from Uberkinky I did a bit of internet research to see how we could use it.

This none sticky bondage tape can be used as an alternative to rope and hand cuffs, as a clean restrainer. As Miss K has said the bondage tape only sticks to itself meaning you don’t have to worry about it damaging furniture. After further research it looks like some creative folks use bondage tape to create kinky costumes. This could be a fun thing for me to do on Miss K!

After “researching” it was time for the practical. Miss K mentioned her first attempt at pealing off the tape being a bit difficult as it tore. I think she was too excited and just rushed to get it off the roll ;). I found the tape easy to break off, I used my teeth as I would with sellotape meaning you don’t have to have a pair of scissors to hand.

My first mission was to restrain Miss K, I unrolled a hefty length and began to gently wrap the strong PVC tape around her arms and body so she couldn’t move. It was nice to be wearing the trousers for once. One thing led to another and I never ended up getting taped up by Miss K! Hopefully she’ll treat me to the experience very soon.

For £3.99 I think Bondage tape is a bargain. We had real fun playing with it and hopefully we’ll get to use it again soon. Ideal for beginners looking to kink up their bedroom experience. Costing so little it’s worth a try to see what you think!

Tips

Use as a kinky alternative to rope and cuffs
Use the tape as part of kinky play- always know your partners limits and if you need to, use a safe word.
Don’t tie the tape too tightly around limbs to cut off the circulation. Or if you do, rip the tape off right away.
